One of the biggest mistakes I see people make today is misusing the med meaning of the numbers. I used to teach students in a school environment how to understand numbers using the med and superlatives. I never said it was cool to memorize the numbers, I simply said it was a necessary part of learning to read. Some of my former students made this mistake and I asked them why they did so. Below is one answer I gave them:
“For some reason, we’ve become so attached to the use of the med meaning full form. When you say the numbers out loud, it can actually help you get in the right mood.” That’s a very good point, and I’ve often used that as an example when teaching students. But there’s more to it than that, I believe.
The Associate Ideas
When you hear the word “med” it makes me want to say “Medicine” and not “Books” or “Coffee” or “Music”. That’s just my personal preference. However, that’s not what you will hear if you type in “meditation” into any search engine. When you do that, you will get a lot of different websites and articles about meditation. A lot of them will tell you it’s good for you, others will tell you it’s evil and so on. So your search results will be a mixture of medicinal uses, spiritual uses, therapeutic uses, etc.
The Real Confusion
This can be very confusing and I have seen many people waste a lot of time and energy researching the right meaning for their numbers. Rather, than spend that time studying the proper and definition, they choose to just memorize the number and use it. If you really want to learn how to meditate properly, don’t waste your precious time with all these other distractions and focus on getting a solid grasp on the med definition.
The Focal Point
So here’s my advice. Just focus on getting a solid grasp on the med itself and what it means when used in meditation. When I first got started, this was the hardest part for me and I had to do a lot of research before I really began to understand the concept. You can go online for a lot of information, but also go to book stores and check out some of the new books on meditation.
Obtain The Fundamental Knowledge
Once you gain some foundational knowledge and understanding, then it gets a whole lot easier. One word of caution, though. If you’re serious about using meditation for a spiritual purpose, then go ahead and learn as much as you can. It’ll help you tremendously in your quest.
Seek For The Opportunities
It’s never too late to start looking into the med meaning of life. This is a gift and you should take full advantage of it. It’s never too late to change your life for the better and give it a new meaning. Look for great resources at your local bookstore or online so you can begin to experience this wonderful new path.
Know The Real Power
Meditation is a powerful tool to use in achieving personal change and higher consciousness. It has an incredible effect on the way we think, feel and act. If you haven’t already begun using this amazing tool, now is as good a time as any. Start exploring this amazing life-changing experience today.
Know Your World Better
Many people wonder what happens when they meditate. What do you get out of it? The answer is that you will experience a deep sense of peace, love and happiness. This is the best kind of spiritual healing there is. It has so much power it will transform your entire being. You will have a new understanding of yourself.
Connects You To The Higher Power
Meditation brings us closer to our Higher Power. We come closer to the connection with Source, and with all that is eternal and perfect. We come closer to understanding and recognizing that all things are One and that we are all part of one bigger entity called “The Universe”. When we meditate, we realize that all of our previous beliefs are false and that we now have a totally clear and accurate perception of the reality around us and ourselves. We no longer need to rationalize and try to convince ourselves that it isn’t true.
With regular practice of meditation, you will find yourself having more opportunities to meditate. You will also be able to use it as a tool to assist you in the course of everyday life. Imagine if you could meditate to help yourself relax before an important presentation, or before going on a date. Imagine how wonderful it would feel to not have to worry about your breath, to no longer think about the last dinner you had or the car payment you have to make. Meditating is truly a powerful tool, and the sooner you begin to learn how to meditate the sooner you will realize the benefits and start experiencing them.
